Health Mistake That People Do

Crossing our legs when sitting

This can actually do harm to our health. The varicose veins will mar the beauty of our legs and compromise our health. So, people,.. Stop sitting with your leg cross (I'm saying this to myself as well)

Not changing our toothbrush

Most of us wait until most of the bristles have either fallen off, or are in such bad shape that we"d be embarrassed to pull out our brush in public. However, since not many of us need to pull out our brush in public, we carry on with our frayed one until we lose it. Damaged bristles can harm the enamel, and don"t massage your gums well.

Eating out often
There are oils that are high in cholesterol, and oils that cause little harm and are better for your heart. However, no matter how light the oil is, it is never a good idea to eat too much of it. Avoid fried foods. Limit outdoor eating unless you know that you"re getting served light and healthy food.

Skipping breakfast
Never, ever skip breakfast. Remember, when you wake up in the morning it"s been around 10-12 hours since your last meal. Your body needs food now, more than at any other time. Eat a heavy breakfast. You will then be busy through the day, and the calories will get expended quickly. If you are trying to diet, eat a light dinner.

High heels
High heels sure look great, but they're murder for your back. Wear them only when having short walk such as to your car, to the table, and back. Avoid high heels when you are going somewhere on foot.

Sleeping on a soft bed
Although a mattress on springs is soft and lovely to sink into, it's bad for your back. If you already have an old bed with springs, you don't need to invest in a new one - simply get a thick wooden plank put over the springs, and place the mattress on the plank. Similarly, if your mattress is old and lumpy, throw it out and get a new one.

Pillows
Sleep with one pillow, and make sure it is not too thick. If your pillow gets lumpy, discard it and go for a new one. Get a thin pillow if you sleep on your stomach, and something a little thicker if you sleep on your back.

Not exercising
Like many of my posting here, exercise is a very important item for us. Must go exercise!!! If you don't, you will only risking yourself into heart disease. Don't wait until there is signal of NOT OK!! Go now! Take a brisk walk or jogging or whatever that you like. Exercise makes us healthy!

Food as Medicine - A Lead to Healthy Lifestyle

Conflakes. Hhmmm, I should try this. The resources says it help to reduce depression, anxiety and fatigue.

Red peppers. Hhmmmm, be careful as it can irritate the tummy.

Eat wheat, bran and cabbage. It helps to maintain estrogen at healthy levels

10. Lung cancer
More and more veggies and oranges which rich in Vitamin A

11. Diarrhea
Apple (An apply a day)

12. Ulcers
Cabbage is the best choice!

13. Clogged arteries
Avocado has unsaturated fat that lowers cholesterol

14. High blood pressure
Celery and olive oil is the best choice for you

15. Blood sugar imbalance
Brocolli and peanut (yummy!!)

Jogging Benefits

Some people say I hate jogging... Some people says jogging is a waste of time ...

For me, jogging is a cheap and easy way for us to stay fit yet healthy. We can actually enjoy jogging as long as we change our mindset. Here are some benefits of why we should jog

  1. It's cheap. There is no monthly fee, processing, etc. All you need is to get yourself to the nearest garden and make your move!
  2. It's convenient. When you pay for gym, you have to go there at their office hour time. For jogging you can go whenever you want, whatever time that suits you, even in public holidays!!
  3. Jogging makes the heart stronger as it increase blood circulation and the respiratory system.
  4. It also speeds up the digestive system
  5. A way for us to reduce stress, thus depression.
  6. Burn fats, thus lost weight
  7. Increase our stamina and capacity to work and leading us to an active life!
  8. Most important, jogging can reduce belly fat!!!
  9. You'll gain muscle while jogging
  10. You can even sleep better, thus elminate amnesia!!
Phew!!! So guys & gals, get your butt into jogging and NO MORE EXCUSE!!!

DD Tips to Lost Weight

Morning
1. Drink one glass of plain water (warm) after wakes up. This is to clean the body.
2. Eat breakfast. This is the key to tells your body that it is a new day
Choice of breakfast : something which belongs to complex carbs.. such as cereals.
3. Drink green tea (not the can green tea that sells in the shop!!). Myth believes this can detox the body.

Afternoon
1. First thing first, lunch! Avoid having high carbs or high fats. Less sugar and less salt.
2. And dont't forget to drink water

Evening
1. Tea break must not be too heavy or too oily.
2. Never eat too much during dinner!!

Food which is a MUST everyday :
1. Water
2. Vegetables
3. Fruits
4. MUST EAT BREAKFAST

Food to AVOID:
1. Chocolates
2. Candy or anything sweet
3. High carbs food
4. Carbonated drinks

Lastly, BRAINWASH:
Must remember, change in eating habit is a permanent changes, not a temporary changes. It's a lifetime changes!!!!
